Daisaria Associates is an architectural firm that was founded in 1960 by Late Valjibhai Daisaria. Presently led by Ar. Manoj Daisaria & Ar.Karan Daisaria the firm provides full professional services that include feasibility study, architectural design, interior design, liasoning /tenders and project management. It has also avidly been associated with International & National Architectural Competitions and Public Infrastructure projects.
Our domain of work involves residential, townships, malls, I.T. Offices, commercial buildings, schools and residential/commercial interiors. We work with productive teamwork and utmost professionalism to ensure a high level of quality and professional standards both in design and project management. The aim is to ensure quality work and project completion within the budget and time constraint.

His avid knowledge of the current regulations of building rules and approvability of projects definitely slots him as one of the reputed Architects in the fraternity.

Karan Daisaria is the design studio head of the firm, graduated from Academy of Architecture and holding a master’s degree in Urban Design and always believes with the legacy of 60 years also comes an expectation to do better. - What is the present scenario of the Architectural Sector? How are you contributing to making it better?
Just like most sectors and fraternities, the architecture and real-estate field in Mumbai and across in India is extremely dynamic and volatile. Something that is trendy or in vogue today, will be outdated tomorrow, hence it is imperative for us to be adaptive of change. In this ever-changing environment, the major opportunity which sometimes is also a challenge is to dive into the pool of the new arena of softwares that are introduced to aid the architecture sector. It is important that the firm is well updated with the current trends of the market and smoothly integrate the same within the fabric of the firm.
We make sure that in every way we can, the client gets immediate aid and guidance for any professional issues, by maintaining the right expertise and knowhow of not just the building guidelines & regulations of the city, but also a detailed understanding and knowledge of the technical softwares required to bring a project to reality.
- What are the marketing strategies adopted by the Daisaria Associates?
With a lineage of over 60 years, most of our work is through word of mouth and because of the goodwill of generations concreted by some landmark projects across Mumbai.

Our Instagram page often has a lot of traffic, involvement of audiences, fresh architects and students of architecture. - How do you portray the future of Daisaria Associates in the next decade?
The Architectural Industry is already complicated and volatile. What we have noticed in the current situation in the fraternity, clients often look for an office that can deal with their entire project as a one-point contact for easy functioning and decision making for the project. We envision to move forward in this direction, by incorporating more services within our domain like legal consultation, Structural Design, MEP Design etc. either in the form of consortiums or inhouse services.
On the design front, we envision that within the next 10 years, we shall have some iconic projects in Mumbai and beyond under the brand of DAISARIA Associates in the domain of Residential/Commercial Real estate, public infrastructure & public buildings and Interior Design.
- What advice would you give to the upcoming entrepreneurs and professionals?
Hardwork, commitment and networking are the key to a successful practice. You can be average in your design skills and still make it big in life because of your hard work and perseverance. At the same time a mastermind brain is rendered useless with a lethargic approach towards your career and profession.
Also, try not saying “NO”. Always be accommodative, flexible and take criticism well. Even if you lose the job or project, you will learn integrity and train yourself to do better.
