The Visionary
Sameer Mohammed, Nocturnal’s Founder and CEO, leads a passionate life as an agency leader with over a decade of experience developing strong client connections, developing IP’s, and broadening the Nocturnal horizons. Nocturnal was founded at the age of 20 by the winner of the India 500 CEO awards in 2019. From being an artist management agency to curating music festivals and owning venues, the brand has come a long way.
According to Sameer, the mere sight of the audience at Nocturnal’s events and venues, which is the reason for their good times, serves as a motivating tool. He is a die-hard soccer enthusiast, and Cristiano Ronaldo is his idol. Sameer admires his discipline, hard work, and devotion, which he strives to emulate in all he does in order to obtain the greatest results with consistency and perseverance.
Notable Achievements and Milestones
Nocturnal curated the first ever block music festival in 2014 with Tomorrowland Resident DJs – Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike – at a nascent level since the company’s beginnings.
“We sold out the festival in our first time effort to stage a large-scale event, a wonderful memory, another remarkable occasion being the launch of Artistry – a nocturnal owned resto-bar and performance space,”says Sameer.
2011: First International Artist booked and toured across four cities – Nadia Ali
2012: (i) Ventures into big scale live concert production with David Guetta’s maiden India tour & Enrique Iglesias Album Tour in partnership with OML.(ii)City Bar in UB City is Nocturnal Networks’ first venue management contract.
2014: Nocturnal Cell-bloc music festival is adopted by India’s leading beer, Kingfisher Premium, at The Great Indian Octoberfest as a dedicated dance music stage featuring top International & local artists.
2017: (i) Artistry, a fully-owned hospitality brand, is launched, with the flagship location in Hyderabad at Novotel HICC. (ii) Showcase at the Amsterdam Dance Event – the first Indian company to put together a showcase at the world’s largest music conference.
2018: (i) Pacha Ibiza licenses Nocturnal their touring & franchise rights for India. (ii) Acquires 50% equity in digital media and content start-up Buzz Wiz Media, developing experiential content IP’s with brands and structuring an in house digital & content team for Nocturnal owned businesses.
2019: (i) Five Six Zero – music festival IP co-produced by Nocturnal and India’s media giant Times Group expands into a global event with its Music Summit. (ii) Nocturnal Network – Founder & CEO Sameer Mohammed awarded CEO of the year by India 500 CEO awards.
Future Initiatives
