Mr. Rajesh Gandhi, the promoter and proprietor of Industrial Inspection Services Pvt. Ltd., has been in this industry since 1983. Industrial Inspection Services Pvt. Ltd. provides professional services to its clientele. Mr. Gandhi says, “Due to the fast changing technological world where digitization and automation are buzzwords, Not only do you have to update yourself, but we must continuously upgrade our software (skills of our team) and hardware (our equipment).”
He further adds, “Our challenges become multifold as we work in various socio-economic and climatic conditions, and the major one is dealing with people speaking different languages, having various customs, etc.”
Mr. Gandhi has received a postgraduate diploma in radiological physics from the world-renowned Bhabha Atomic Research Center. He became NDE-II (RT) in the year 1985, NDE-II (UT) in the year 1991, NDE-II (PT) and MPT in the year 1993. He appeared for and passed ASNT-Level-III (UT & MPT) in 1996, and subsequently in 1998, he added the qualification in two more methods (RT & PT). In the year 2005 he has qualified to ASNT-III in eddy current & visual testing.
In 2001, he applied for and was re-certified in all four methods. Subsequently, in the year 2003, he became ACCP Level-III (RT, UT, PT & MT) and RW TUV Level-III (RT, UT, PT & MT) as per EN-473. In the year 2005, he qualified in visual testing and eddy current testing. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor for the ISO 9000:2000 system. Since 1995, he has been a faculty member at the Institute of Quality Management in Mumbai.

The company and its team are associated with some of the biggest names like L & T Ltd. Hazira (more than 25 years), L & T MHPS Boiler Ltd., L & T Hydrocarbon Ltd. (02decade), L & T Special Steel Casting, ACC, Ambuja Cement (02decade), GNFC (15years), Isgec Ltd., BHEL, etc. for providing PT, MT, UT, VT and RTFI services to its clients hailing from industries such as fabrication, heavy engineering, Refinery, Petrochemical, Defence, Nuclear and others.
Industrial Inspection Services Pvt. Ltd. is also well known for its consultancy services, providing – NDE L-III services for American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) approval (U, U2, R & S stamp), which is mostly opted by pressure vessel manufacturers involved in exports. The fact we have attended more than 50 ASME audit in last 20 years is testimony of our leadership in this segment.
Excellence also extends to delivering heat treatment services – local stress relieving of weld joints like pipes, pressure vessels, tanks, site joints and others at fabrication shops and various sites. Mr. Gandhi expresses, “We stand out even in providing critical in situ heat treatment for stress relief where we have a team of around 80 people.” As per him, the team has carried out the largest in situ job done in the country for RIL Jamnagar (16.3mm diameter). It also has developed hybrid techniques to cater to heat treatment jobs for very important and critical equipment made from alloy steel having CrMoV as an element, up to 330 mm in thickness, which only a few companies in the world deal with.

Significant Milestones since Inception
(i) The company is the largest PT & MPT service provider in India.
(ii) One of the most extensive teams in the India for providing ultrasonic services on offshore platforms, castings, welding, and raw materials.
(iii) Upto now, it has participated in more than 50 ASME Stamps as NDE L-III for various clients.
(iv) We have carried out ISR -LSR China by internal oil firing & in furnace, in challenging Climatic condition -200C.
(v) It has carried out local stress relieving of the largest C/S joint in India by electrical resistance heating (FCC Re-generator for RPL, Jamnagar, carried out at L & T Shop, Hazira, the size being 16.3m dia x 48mm thk.).
(vi) It has carried out local stress relieving of the thickest jobs (for Mallaika reactor, Malaysia, carried out at L & T Hazira, 6 meter dia x 330mm thk.) It is carrying out LSR of pressure vessels with low voltage (80V).

This will further strengthen our position as the market leader.”
