Rishi Singh and Surbhit Krishna created Awesome Sauce Creative in 2019 as a problem-solving agency for all types of creative market demands. Rishi Singh is responsible for innovative business initiatives, corporate alliances, holistic marketing solutions, and HO’s awesome culture. He holds a Master’s degree in Virtual Marketing from Symbiosis, an Entrepreneurial Certification from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor’s degree in Design from NIFT. Aside from Awesome Sauce Creative, he works as a guest lecturer at NIFT and an examiner at SPA.
Surbhit Krishna is responsible for inter-team operations, project execution, and strategy in order to foster long-term client engagements. He holds a Bachelor of Design from NIFT and is passionate about mentoring design aspirants and students to a brighter career in the design business.

Q. Being a successful business leader, what difficulties and challenges do you face? What keeps you motivated?
‘Trying’ to be a successful business leader comes with multiple stages of failures, realizations, efforts, and micro-wins. Many difficulties and challenges are faced by entrepreneurs in India, starting from the toughest, family.
Entrepreneurs from non-business families in India have a really tough time taking big and bold decisions like not following the regular routine of secure government or highly paid private jobs. With each step towards opening a business, a series of un-reversible decisions need to be made that will surely decide the direction of the venture, may it be service-based or product-based.
What keeps us motivated is not something fancy, but a drive to create something of our own with the intent of creating value for the industry and beyond. Ultimately, each startup starts with a spark.

In a very short span of two years, Awesome Sauce Creative has been able to garner a range of prestigious clients. Currently, the agency serves clients from varied industries like jewellery, kids’ experience centres, electronics, education, wellness, and real estate.
Furthermore, the agency has been able to secure angel funding of an undisclosed amount.
Q. How do you motivate your team to be innovative and productive at work?
- We celebrate personal milestones that help the team track their performance and growth individually.
- By providing an agile work environment that has proven to be highly effective in boosting productivity and personal growth.
- Judicious work delegation as per managerial ease and creative freedom for each individual.
- Organizing knowledge sharing sessions and internal training to increase knowledge spheres with content to cross industry performance.
Q. How do you maintain a productive work culture at a company while motivating your employees?
- It is great to know the team personally, above and beyond platonic work relations, to bring a family environment.
- By sprucing up the workplace for fun with music and an open floor plan with no hierarchies within the team.
- By giving the team autonomy and freedom to express their individuality and true self.
Q. What are your future plans for the company? Where do you see the company in the years to come?
Awesome Sauce Creative has already reached the international market by setting up an overseas office in Singapore and intends to expand into Western and First World countries.
The agency is already developing a native software system that caters to the creative economy segment and empowers the next generation horde of digital content creators.
In a matter of the next 3 years, the agency has multiple native and collaborative tech projects that are in the pipeline and revolve around Web 3 systems like extended reality and NFTs.
Q. What is your advice to budding and aspiring entrepreneurs?
Take initiative, take risks, try hard, fail quickly, be multi-disciplinary and build a strong network both within and outside the relevant industry segments.
