Sswings Preschool started Day Care services keeping in view the dire needs & requirements of the new millennium city Gurgaon. Its daycare has become an integrated part of the nuclear family which migrated from different parts of the country to work in a new generation city called Gurgaon. As both the parents were working then the role of Sswings for a whole day of learning & taking care of the child came into being.

About the Leading Light
Ms. Rajni Chhabra is the Principal and Founder member of the governing body of the Education Society looking after SSWINGS PRESCHOOL & DAY CARE. She is in this profession of teaching little ones since1985, wherein she was involved in the functioning of a primary school which was started by her mother who also had a great inclination to teach little ones and guide and mould them into future responsible citizens.
Ms. Rajni was also involved and worked with Ms. Julia Gabriel, a formidable name internationally in the field of preschool.
The Driving force
It was in the blood and the profession of Ms. Rajni to teach the little ones that came automatically and at a very early stage of life. This led to the creation of Sswings Preschool. The conceptualization of Day Care along with Preschool was mainly due to the dire need of the millennium city Gurgaon.
She also has a long tenure in teaching little ones and understanding child psychology to its core in real practical terms and exposure and opportunity to work with personalities like Julia Gabriel who is a highly reputed name internationally in this industry. She has always believed that one can mold and incorporate the values which govern one’s life. And that If the foundation is firm and stable then the building of life will definitely be strong.
Challenges Faced
Gurgaon was a very new modern upcoming city that had to come out of the shadows of the capital city Delhi to establish its own existence. As per the Principal of the Sswings Preschool, the challenges now are that it has its peculiar requirements because 80% are nuclear families where both the parents are working and that too for long times. So, spending less time with children definitely has its impact on the bonding of family.
Technology is a big learning resource and has opened immense avenues that have transformed the entire process of teaching and learning. However, the future will continue to grow in the same direction, but Sswings believes that one must have reservations about the quantum of technology exposure to the very little ones.
On asking her what advice would she like to give to the budding professionals in the education field, Ms. Rajni says, “One should have that burning desire and love for the little ones with an immense amount of patience.”
Final Words
Sswings feels lucky since it was a very early entrant in Gurgaon and dealt with the need and requirements of the city at every stage. So, every stage which came in its journey till now was new and always normal.
