Templer Park International School (TPIS) is situated just outside of Kuala Lumpur, surrounded by trees and nature near Rawang and Batu caves. In the midst of greenery, lakes, and wildlife, the school triumphs in the exploration of students in nature with outdoor activities such as swimming classes, field sports, hikings, and many more. TPIS’s atmospheric location allows students to be perceptive towards the world around them as well as forming awareness and empathy on environmental issues and climate change.
In TPIS, we encourage an inclusive and welcoming environment, by actively involving ourselves with the community through fundraising for local charities and participation of students in community service throughout the school year. Our goal is to build the community by empowering our students through the golden rules of TPIS.
Learning in a park-based environment has a crucial role in developing the physical and mental health for children, as it encourages and promotes movement across the spacious landscapes granting the students more fun and subsequently enhancing the mental, spiritual, physical health in addition to social interaction. The robust foundation of TPIS’s pillars of principles and values fosters diversity, equality, inclusion, and justice between students, parents, visitors, and society. Thus, the continuous maintenance and assessment of these values as strategic priority is the cornerstone of TPIS’ community park-based learning. We understand that our students, parents, teachers, guests, and employees have different cultural backgrounds, religions, and lifestyles. Therefore, consideration, respect, and tolerance are the utmost values we practice maintaining the enriched, all-inclusive, and coherent community, and together we strive for the bright future.
International Education Making the World a Global Village
From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, just over two years ago, it has changed us as human beings and has dramatically altered the way we teach and learn. Many of these changes will surely impact K–12 education for years to come. With the help of technology and shifting the mindsets toward accepting virtual learning, students are no longer restricted to attending schools in the local area. Instead, they can attend any school of their choice worldwide. While doing so with no geographical boundaries, the community becomes larger, and more experiences and cultures can be introduced. No matter where our students come from, they leave better prepared with a global passport to their future. We are a community of learners with a mission to transform the lives of learners, giving learners control and the understanding as to how to own their own learning by creating a community engagement where everyone can participate with diversity and inclusion.
Awards Achievements and Accreditations
Over the years, TPIS managed to build successful relationships with many accreditations and industry bodies like the Cambridge Assessment International Education, The American International Accreditation Association (AIAAsc), Google for Education, Edmentum, Arabia Inform, AskZad digital Library, Bareq, SchooPedia, Veative, Kalemon, Tafe, Tabian, Hawwaz, NAPEI, Al Dar University College, and AlMotahida Education Group.

Mr. Ali Mohammad Ghuname (Chairman) is a unique personality who has recognized and decided to act on his natural instincts of being an influential educator. He is on an impressive mission to offer competitive educational programs in real-world settings and uplift the diverse population aiming to develop and strengthen the youth with the true power of knowledge. integrating a smart school with technology and tools, and improving usage of your own materials by digitizing print and developing interactive lessons and quizzes.”
Mr. Abdulghani Alrumaih (Board Member) was named ‘the falcon’ due to his high goals and a sharp vision for success; he was a unique visionary and was on a mission to help others start and build their dreams as he did. Moreover, he is also a leading technical-vocational trainer providing guidance to local jobseekers. Talking about his importance at TPIS, the school management says, “Representing TPIS as a delegate to several national and international conventions and is currently active in community services.”
Traditional Teaching
At TPIS, we utilize traditional teaching by having students interact with their teachers in a classroom and perform various activities together as well as receiving face to face guidance while learning. Unlike other education institutions that require physical learning copies, TPIS provides education and learning aids online using Edmentum and Pearson as our main curriculum materials. Only kindergarten and language classes will have physical textbooks that will be used during the school year.
Teachers are tasked to cater students by answering their inquiries and giving out small tasks to keep the class engaging all the while completing worksheets on the Edmentum and Cambridge system. Teachers at TPIS are able to differentiate the achievement capabilities of students by giving more time for students struggling to understand the class while students that absorb the teaching faster will be given more challenging modules to keep the learning experience interesting.
Flex Learning
Flex Learning is a learning method by having students complete their subjects online and only coming to see a teacher if they have difficulties with a topic they are learning online. Students are free to move at their own pace and study a topic further if they find it interesting. The only requirement is that students need to complete a set number of online modules each week. Teachers will be observing their progress through a student management session, and will actively communicate to them through it making sure the student stays on track.
A flex learning student has the flexibility to study at TPIS computer labs or library at their own convenience. Flex students can also fulfill lab requirements for their class by the ability to access the lab and meet their teacher. The students are also able to create a lab for their group project depending on the topic for the term.
Flex learning, also known as hybrid learning, is defined as a teaching that integrates technology and digital media with traditional instructor-led classroom activities, giving students more flexibility to customize their learning experiences. It encourages participation and interactions not only with the present teacher in class but with other students. This method can also be practiced outside of four walls such as during field trips, exhibitions, outdoor activities. Flex learning gives opportunities for students to excel in various aspects and build soft skills along the way.
Initially education institutions had chosen this teaching method to adapt themselves in the compounds of school again but also in regards to keeping students and staff away from the Covid-19 disease. Yet, taking advantage of this method, education institutions have helped in flourishing their students to learn dynamically in traditional and non-traditional settings.
TPIS is among one of the education institutions that equips their teaching style using the flex learning method. We have physical and online classes, after school activities, and volunteering projects for students to join. The school molds into how the students excel in whichever area of interest and provides the best support in materials and guidance. TPIS prepares students to be flexible in adapting to different learning styles, becoming tech savvy, increasing participation in recreational activities, and tending to their safety.
Technology in Education
We have an inherent belief that technology plays a huge role in education especially in the classrooms. TPIS helps in providing students with complete study materials, including tablets and computers, for the benefit of our students in completing their assignments, homework, and classwork with ease.
Through TPIS’ service in education, we are able to enrich students’ lives and learning capabilities further. The school does not only act as a training space in preparing students for future careers, but also assists in building their emotional understanding of the world in becoming the next generational success.
