This start-up was founded with previous employees, today the partners Sergio Soler, Cesar Flores, Marta Rosell and David Cepeda. The team founded Velca in the middle of the pandemic and the company is already considered one of the main Spanish companies regarding new mobility.

The Leading Light of Velca Motors
Emilio Frojan born in 1991. He is from a small town on the northwest coast in Spain. He studied Political Science and several postgraduates in Business Schools like IESE, ICADE or University of Salamanca.
Emilio Froján was selected in Forbes list as 21 changemakers and 100 most creative people in business. As well Emilio Froján was awarded as best pitcher in Startup Ole Congress and finalist in the Startup World Cup. His Startup Velca was selected as the best electric motorcycle in Europe in 2021.
Challenges Confronted & Paved Ways
Velca launched the company 2 weeks before the pandemic in 2020. The senior management had to motivate the team during these months and raise capital in an uncertain market. Finally, they got it. In its first financial round, Velca got 750.000$ in less than 4 hours.
On asking the CEO what was the turning point for the company, he asserts, ” The first sale. When we sold our first electric motorbike we thought: Hey! People are paying for our value proposition. That moment was one of the happiest highlights of the company.”

Velca has postsale service personalized in all Europe. Its spare parts logistic hub is provided in less than 48 hours in all Europe. ” If Post Sales centers are happy, customers are happiest“, says Emilio.
